Handmade hand-me-downs

Help! A question. What to do with handmade goodies once they've been outgrown?

Handmade hand-me-downs...keep, put in the charity bin, or selectively re-assign?

  1. Selectively reassign! I'm sure there are some little girls you know around place.

  2. Depends on the item! I selectively reassign - especially woollen hand knitted things, I need to know they'll be looked after and not felted in the wash! However, I have sewn a series of party dresses for my daughter that I can't bring myself to give away - and it's tempting to keep them for a future granddaughter. I'm still torn on that on though - I have yet to meet a worthy recipient who's changed my mind!!

  3. Selectively re-assign. To someone you know will love and care for them and appreciate their hand-made awesomeness! I have a litte girl and love hand-made clothes ;-)

  4. I vote for selectively re-assign too! So much time and love goes into them you want to make sure it will continue to be appreciated.

  5. Ah ha, see, I have three little girls to work there way through them, by which time I'm sure they will not be in any fit state to be gifted elsewhere. Luckily I haven't had to worry about this yet as my littlest is only 6 months.

  6. I have kept some things (I am very sentimental) but will selectively reassign some others. When I am sure there will be no more of my own to wear them.
